As the prime contractor, OBAN Corporation provided comprehensive program management and case processing services to the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS), supporting the agency’s efforts under the Federal Erroneous Retirement Coverage Corrections Act (FERCCA).
OBAN’s responsibilities included conducting detailed Official Personnel File (OPF) reviews, identifying retirement code discrepancies, and processing correction cases from intake through resolution. Using the IRS’s BeSTrak/e-trak case system, our team managed the full lifecycle of retirement cases, including determination package creation, retirement plan election processing, TSP make-up contribution calculations, payroll corrections, and final retirement documentation.
Our program management support ensured all services were delivered efficiently and in compliance with IRS protocols. OBAN maintained a detailed project management plan, facilitated monthly meetings with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and IRS leadership, and provided status and expenditure tracking reports to monitor contract performance. We also ensured full adherence to IRS data protection standards and internal policies outlined in the Internal Revenue Manual.
Through this engagement, OBAN demonstrated its capacity to manage high-volume, high-precision HR case processing, while supporting mission-critical IRS operations and maintaining compliance with federal retirement and payroll regulations.
